The engine was completely rebuilt with new everything, the crank was re-balanced to reduce the chronic 440 engine vibration, the clutch is the correct late model one for the application, a PVL Ignition and a special taper bored 38/40mm Mikuni, this Maico is very quick and very reliable, it has only had 3 outings, Classic Dirt 7, a club dirt track day and "Mr Vintage Motocross" 2011, where it placed second in the Pre75 Era ridden by Peter Lovering.
