VMX founder Les Richters has been a dyed in the wool Maico guy since the the seventies golden era when Maicos were without peer as no compromise race bikes.

When the VMX movement started in Australia twenty years ago there was no other bike choice  for Les and before long he was racing his beautifully prepared 1974 250 Maico at VMX events all over the East Coast.
 
Quite early in the piece, Les noticed that there was a severe shortage of reliable Maico parts and service specialists in Australia so he soon decided to offer his expertise to Maico owners Australia wide. Right from the start Les's reputation as an honest and knowledgable Maico specialist attracted a keen customer list of Maico enthusiasts, many of whom are still loyal clients to this day.
